Where do I solder these 2 wires?

This is a 2 conductor 59 that I'm trying to resurrect. Where do each of these 2 black wires get soldered?

Assuming one wire from one coil is still connected to one wire from the other, the wire that isn't connected to the center conductor of the braided cable gets soldered to the braid or backplate.

And the wire from the center of the braided wire doesn't get soldered to anything?

Your picture shows it being soldered to a wire running toward the white bobbin. Leave that connection as is and isolate it with tape or shrink tubing, etc.

Ok that seems to work. It's reading 7.6 now. But, now the lead won't reach the pot to hook it up. Grrrr
