Re: which color?

I guess the deal could be over now. The deal was $50 off all fenders and I got it through the mailing list in my email. From there you click it and I guess it adds a cookie to you browser so it automatically takes the $50 off. Maybe you could mention the you tried buying the guitar after clicking the link, but it didn't give you the discount. Thats what I did because the $50 off discount didn't go through.

Re: which color?

the metallic blue contrast better with black hardware. makes things more interesting. so i say blue!

Re: which color?

I bought the blue tele. I hate all-black guitars.

Re: which color?

how many of us bought one of these pieces(H H STRAT OR TELE).I ordered mine a few hours ago.they only had teles left.i got blue .

Re: which color?

My blue Showmaster Blackout HH arrived today. I'm glad I was able to get one of the blue ones before they sold out, and it appears they went quick. The blue looks so much nicer when having it in front of you instead of a photo, and goes really well with the black hardware.
Fresh out of the box, I tuned it, slapped the whammy bar in it, strapped it on and plugged it into my Marshall JCM2000.....I gotta say, this guitar is a very nice player. It has a great finish on the neck, and the frets seem to be fairly well-groomed. The '59n/PGb combination is a great one for this axe, and quite a nice bonus for such a great price. Any axe that comes stock with Duncan pickups is always a plus, and Fender made a wise choice installing these pups in the Showmaster!
A steal at $300 and with the help of a stock graphite nut, this guitar has nice sustain for having a tremelo. It stays in tune and has locking tuners. I'm not sure if I want to replace the .09 gauge strings with .10's. The .09's sound pretty decent on this guitar, and are fun to play.
It's a keeper! To those who scored one of these babies before they sold out, nice going!!

Re: which color?

What exactly does the guitar look like? It looks like a weird-freaking strange color in the fender pic haha.

Re: which color?

The blue color isn't quite cobalt-looking, a little more grayish is as best as I can describe it. But the metallic in the finish on the body and back of the neck glistens pretty good in the light. I'm no expert but I am impressed with how well it plays and sounds. I gotta give kudos to Fender and their Korean factory for spittin' this one out, at least. Except for tweaking the action a little, I'm not messing with anything on this guitar.

Re: which color?

I was playing the gold custom telecaster a month ago with some EMGs in it and that thing killed, it played so well, I'm not used to the fender headstock so it got in the way but whatever. Besides the sharp-ass bridge it played really well.

I'd say fender's Korean plant is kickass haha.

Okay guys and gals; I'm jones'n for this Fender Showmaster they got on sale at M-F and it comes in two colors - ebony ( http://www.fender.com/products/search.php?partno=0263000506 ) and Atlantic Metallic Blue ( http://www.musiciansfriend.com/srs7/g=home/search/detail/base_pid/511333/ ).
I've got two guitars, a Strat and a Gibson LP, that are black....and it'd be cool to have an all-black axe like that, but I also like the metallic blue (favorite color=blue) and the way the black hardware goes with it.
I'm leaning toward the blue, but was wondering what you all thought?

Thanks
....Bob
I like the black look myself. That showmaster reminds me of my Schector Omen-6 Diamond Series (one of the first ones). That Fender is a beaut.

I like how its body is longer, but not bulky like the Schecter C series guitars are.
