Which Xotic pedal to get, or a cab?

Hey guys!

I am curious how a boost would my Engl Screamer (a combo) make sound. The Engl has a great amount of gain so I think the BB would be too much..also having quite hot pups (Air Norton and Breed) it would be overkill I think.

Either the RC or AC booster, what I need is more beef (bass and "ooomph") for a solo tone. Engl has a great rhythm tone but for the extra kick..something lacks.

Or should I save some cash and go for a closed back 2x12 cab with some cool speakers? So I'd have a nice cab even when if I went for another amp in the future.

Either is a cool purchase. Try a 2x12 with G12H30s, or a G12H30/V30 mix. should be very nice with the Screamer.

I played the RC booster recently and really liked it. Perfect for a bass boost on solos...

I just checked the G12H speaker out and the diagram sounds promising.

2x12, closed back with 2 G12H should be great!

How would a G12H and a Greenback mix? I'm quite sure that I need a closed back cab, the combo is open already.

Now I'd need a good cab but I will use the search function here, cheers!

I love greenbacks, but they are a low wattage speaker, so I wouldn't really recommend them for a (50W?) screamer. Greenbacks generally need to be in a 4x12 to handle anything over a 30w amp.

Help may be at hand if you love the greenback thing, though. I hear Eminence are developing a double wattage greenback clone for Splawn amps. ..

I think a closed back cab would be an excellent idea; you already have the open back combo for that nice airy sound, now you want the punch and projection of a closed back.

I got the matching Engl 1x12 closed back and ported cab with a V30 to partner my Screamer combo. It makes a big difference, adding loads of low end grunt to the sound. I've also had the RC and AC boosters and I loved the RC, but the AC just didn't work with the Screamer. If it were my cash, I'd go for the cab first.
