Who here has used the 22 day exchange?

I picked up a twang Banger for the bridge in my 95 Washburn Silverado. I knew it would be on the bright side but didn't anticipate that it would be as much of a tonal mismatch with the Scooped Strat neck and middle. Never had a chance to play a guitar with the Twang Banger and had not played one or heard one first hand with the scooped Strat's . They don't play nice together so thinking of swapping the Twang banger for a Scooped Strat Bridge. Tried calling the number to talk to someone at Duncan as the website tells me but have never gotten through. Any insight other than to keep trying that number first off ?
I have an Antiquities Surfer II set in my other Silverado and wanted something fatter, smoother and more bluesy with this guitar. Always liked the bark of a Tele bridge with a little gain, but this combo just is not working. Anything else you would suggest for the bridge other than the scooped? Had an SSL 5 at one point too hot and brash, thought about the Custom hotter Surfer Bridge and played my other Silverado with it back to back with this guitar and the scooped set not what I want so?
At this point thinking just grab the Scooped Bridge and be done with it.

how do you like the scooped set compared to the surfers? i like the twangbanger, but a2 + baseplate doesnt seem like a great match.

ive not used the 21 day exchange policy, but have called duncan before and someone picked up. i think you just need to keep trying that number. does it go to voicemail or anything?

The Surfers in the Sunburst 94 Silverado are very clear clean and are one of the best sounding sets I have heard for classic glassy Strat tones. With the Custom bridge that is slightly overwound its are just a little fatter in the bridge. But really nails that classic vintage Strat tone. That particular guitar feels so much like the Fender Custom Shop 57 Strat at a local shop it's amazing. Head to head with that 4 K plus Fender, I actually prefer my Silverado in both tone and playabilty. Was suprised.
The 95 Silverado with the scooped set has a much different vibe. The neck is superfast thin with jumbo frets and is a real shredder as a player. The tone with the Scooped set is sweeter, warmer, bigger, rounder and more mellow than the 94 but still sounds like a proper Strat and not something else. Better more modern guitar for jazz blues and not as drastic a tonal change coming directly from a guitar with humbuckers as the 94. I thought seriously about going to a set of the Texas Hots for the 95, but after working with the scooped set am glad I didn't. I really like these in this particular guitar. May drp a pair of the scooped Strats in my 95 Washburn MG 120 with a JB in the bridge. Has a pair of SSL 1's that have been in that guitar maybe 15 years now, but I really like the Scooped pair in the Silverado. Would match the JB a lot better both tonally and in output. Found a great deal on an unopened new neck and middle set of the scooped Strats on Reverb so jumped on them. Now wish I would have just ordered the matching bridge and been done with it.
Always loved that bark of a Tele bridge with a little gain. Still do, but it just doesn't work in this guitar for what I will be using it for.
Anxious to see what the full set gives me in this particular guitar.
