Since you haven't heard bad reviews, let me give you one. The V22 was the worst sounding amp I ever owned and MANY others have echoed similar thoughts, You just haven't searched enough for reviews. People seem to either love 'em or hate 'em. I'm of the latter persuasion. I don't attribute it to country of origin, however.......................I've heard nothing but good reviews for their tone. Not just "for the price" but in general. Most reviews I've seen from actual players is that they are faithful to the amps they're copying. Made In China doesn't always mean Made Poorly, though as was stated, component quality is a factor in that. Marshall (as well as many other amp manufacturers)can put together crappy components for their UK-made models just as well as they can use good components, but at some point the component quality will outweigh the skill with which they were assembled. The quality of automated assembly of mass-produced boards is directly related to the precision of either process and machine.......

I've heard some great demos of the V22 on YouTube, but I could never achieve that sound with the first one or the second (a warranty replacement due to defect). I tried everything including new/different tubes, speakers, and every combination of settings imaginable. No success.....sold it after a frustrating year of attempts.
I stay clear of everything 'Bugera'. Funny thing is I don't have the same view of their ss counterpart, Behringer, although I no longer own a Behringer amp. Still have a couple of their pedals I use occasionally. And I've played in bands using their PA mixers and amps and found them to be quite decent and reliable.
A bit fizzy is an understatement to my ears...it was extremely fizzy. I wouldn't own an amp that had one good channel and one bad one.And I really like the V22 (I have the head version). The clean channel is great and takes pedals well. The drive channel is a bit fizzy. Tubes help, but don't fix it. But it's mostly at lower volume. At higher output, the drive channel is much better. Different strokes for different folks.

And you don't own it any more. So be happy !!!
