Re: Who's done Warmoth?
The last two responses pretty much sum up my feelings. I originally had a Fender Strat body, and I had planned on putting a Warmoth neck on it. When it arrived, the neck fit was extremely loose, it didn't even touch the sides of the neck pocket. At first I thought Warmoth had screwed up my neck, but after researching it for a while, I found out that Warmoth's tolerances are actually much more precise than Fender's. All the Fender owners told me the same thing, "Fenders are supposed to be like that, they never have a tight fit between the neck and the body." There was no way I was going to use that body, so I decided to sell it and get a Warmoth body. I found a nice one in the Showcase, and when it arrived, the fit was absolutley perfect, much better than with the Fender body. The neck is beautiful as well, perfect fretwork, great looking woods, and no finish required. I'm just finishing up the final assembly, I should have some pictures up in the next week or so of my completed project.
