Why is that refreshing? I think hearing great guitar music is what drove most of us to pick up the guitar. Is that bad somehow? Doesnt mean a child will stay that way, whatever drives them to play and practice is a good thing as I see it

Because they are actually putting new music into the world. That is more interesting to me.

There seems to be alot of girl players in Japan. My gf played. I made friends with Instagram people who play on the side, and then theres lots of bands with girl players and all girl bands, pop, punk, hair bands, shredders , old vets, young ones. Etc. Its whats norm over there.

Here in the usa I'm sure there are a few underrated and underground segment of the population. What you see mostly out in the open is what pop music feeds you.

I've always thought it had something to do with making music being one of the few culturally acceptable ways for a man to completely and unrestrictedly emotionally express himself. Women are expected to show their emotions so they don't have to be driven into one particular corner of self expression as men are.

Except this is the same thread that pops up every few years. There are more women doing unique things with guitars and now they have more platforms to be heard.
