As the moderators have clearly said recently, they want open, candid discussions. They don't expect Duncan products to be blindly praised; they want honest feedback on where their products work best, and where they don't. Unlike you, they want the good and the bad to be talked about. This is a very useful tool for them; we users do far more testing thru far more gear than they can afford the time and money to do. Maybe you want sugarcoating, they don't. This forum isn't here just a marketing device to 'steer' people to Duncan products, it's also where the company can learn what actual users think about their products, why they buy them and why they don't. That's valuable information for any company. Seymour absolutely needs to know what players think which PU's of his 'sound thin' in what guitars. Or sound muddy or harsh. They don't set rules about what we talk about, or how long we talk about them. They do not want the kind of control you seem to think they need. That restricts the free-flow of ideas and opinions that they value. We are the think tank and guinea pigs. They've put our PU suggestions into production, they ask us to design PU specs. In the past few years they're using more using twice as many kinds of alnicos than they used to; geez, I wonder if all our magnet talk influenced them? Ya think? Sorry, this isn't the white-washed, tightly-controlled forum you want. I've seen 'Agileguy' in some nasty arguments, and I wasn't the one he was argiung with; so he's no angel.
What they do ask is simply that members not blow up, swear, and personally insult other members; a few individuals seem to lack the self-control to do that.
