I can't believe I read Jeff Loomis's name in this thread!

I took lessons from him 16 years ago!

Did he get famous and I didn't notice?

HOLY CRAP DUDE!!!!!

In about 89, he sent an audition tape to Sanctuary, and got the gig as lead guitarist for them. They broke up 2 months later, unfortunately. Singer Warrell Dane, Jeff, and the bassist formed the band Nevermore, which is probably my favorite band with normal vocals. Guitarist Steve Smyth just joined as well, which makes for a killer team.

I can't believe you took lessons from him man...that's so kickass!

Well I like the DDn. I never liked the 59n. I mean I liked it, but not for "the sound in my head".

The DDn takes care of that.

But the 59n will do jazz or blues wonderfully. Very sweet, articulate, vintage tone.

DDb thin? I guess I find out Saturday...
