Re: WHY THE DISPARITY IN ACTUAL VS. ADVERTISED SPECS AT SD WITH THEIR RW/RP OFFERINGS
Yes, I have.
Now you can relax and lose the attitude towards the good people that tried to help.
Kojak,
Yes, I understand and fully appreciate what you're saying, and I apologize. I've let my emotions get well ahead of me when they shouldn't have, and believe me, the 'attitude' wasn't there when I initiated this thread, but eventually, people (like me) are gonna grow tired of others with their condescension and their reprimands, espousing their beliefs on what happened, when they've already been TOLD what happened in plain English, all-the-while telling you that
you (not the merchant) are to blame for it - that
you (not the merchant) should bear the cost of any return! It's absolute bulls**t!
I couldn't have been any clearer in what I said. The folks at Seymour Duncan have been completely understanding and 'awesomely accommodating', but the fact remains -
they are at fault,
they are the ones publishing incomplete or inaccurate specifications making it unnecessarily difficult, and
they are the ones making people feel awkward when they call to inquire about specs. Its completely unacceptable and I'll stand by that assertion till I drop!
But its not about any return at this point. Its too late for that now. This whole pickup debacle has gone-on since late October and the three guitars in question were supposed to have been delivered in late November! Hell, if I opted to send this defect back to SD for "zapping" to simply reverse the polarity the way they suggest, the three instruments (now promised before Christmas), wouldn't be done until after the New Year. No! Its done already! Just fix the problems for others, and for the future, that's all. That's all I'm asking. That's all I asked from the outset. And to that end, Scott Olsen (at SD) pretty much said all that needed to be said. He said . . . "
No one is more pissed off than I when these things don't go exactly as you would hope". That says to me that they intend to address it, and that's good enough for me.
