Wierd action change with neck reattachment....

When I reattached the neck of my strat and restrung it today the action is definitely higher. I think the part of the neck that bolts onto the body is further down, cause my neck pickup was muting the strings and the action was much higher down there than at the nut. It sounds WAY better, but it's a bit too high. Does anyone know how this may have happened?

You probably lost a shim that was in the neck pocket...it may have been a slip of paper or wood, or a matchstick, or....

easy fix: fold a piece of paper into a new shim ;)

Well high action is supposed to. And the notes bend way easier too. Only thing is when I bend a note my finger goes under the string next to it because its so high....
