Wiring Problem: 2 Humbuckers with Push/Pull and 5-Way Super Switch

Hello Pickup-Lovers,

I am from germany, so excuse my english.

Since a long time I wanted a nice Prog Metal axe, but I did not have the money to purchase a guitar from Skeversen or Mayones, so I decided to buy a cheap Fame Forum 3 used und upgrade it from time to time.
Last week I bought two Dimarzio Titans for it and I am very happy with them. Now I want to get rid of the boring 3 way-switch and I got a 5 way superswitch (rotary style) and also a push pull pot for volume and a normal 500k pot for the tone.
I added the important informations down below.

My problem now is, that I can solder but I really dont know how I have to solder the things together. Can I use the superswitch and also a push pull pot? I want a wiring like in the following video:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=re16j7Iwbhc

Basically it is:
1. Bridge HB
2. N+B Parallel (outside coils)
3. N+B Series
4. N+B Parallel (inside coils)
5. Neck HB

And with the Volume Pot I want to split the Neck and Bridge for their own.

I hope I can achieve some tips from you, at the moment I am very confused .

Greetings from germany!

Is your rotary switch a PRS-type like this?

NOTE - I have NOT wired this kind of switch before, so I'm just trying to connect you with the diagrams only.

You would need to convert the color codes for DiMarzio.

thanks beaubrummels :). That looks very confusing, maybe I should bring the guitar to a tech?

It will arrive tomorrow but I think that it looks the same, you can check it in the attached files :).

I am worried about the Pickup Polarity? Do I need to reverse it? Because I think that this is too much for me :/. What happens if I let it normal and wire the PUs like that?

Like I said, I personally haven't wired a PRS rotary 5-way before, I was just trying to get you connected with the drawings to help out. I haven't needed to flip magnets to make switching I wanted work, but it's not hard to do.

IMO, whether to take it to a tech is a question of whether you think this is a one-off modification to your guitar, or if you expect to start modding your own guitars more frequently. If it's a one-off thing, it's probably worth it to pay a pro, who will warrant their work, to get it done right and be happy with it. Otherwise, if you are starting a tone-chasing quest and will continue to mod your own guitars, there's enough knowledge here on the forum to help you out.

Someone else would need to chime in on what that switching will do without flipping the mag - sorry about that, outside my experience.
