wiring question about quarter pound for strat

Hi

I just got a new quarter pound bridge for my strat and when I opened it, I was surprised to see that the online retailer had sent me a three wire version... red, white and black... after a little research I see they have sent me a tapped version.

I dont want to tap it, I dont have a push pull pot or a switch, I just want to wire it like a conventional pickup, hot and ground.

How do I do this? Wire both the red and white to the hot? Or only one?

Anybody done it this way? Thanks for any replies

just wire the white to hot and make sure the red doesnt come in contact with anything and youll have the normal qp

Lucky!!! You made out like a bandit. Put in a puh-pull or a switch and utilize what you've got. It may surprize you and you may really love the option to tap that pup.
