I've got a wolfie special.
Once the solder on the pup selector came off (thus rendering guitar not working) and it needed to be resoldered. No biggie whatsoever.
2 minutes flat to deduce the problem, 5 minutes to fix...
Never had any other probs. My only gripes are with quality of the bridge and how long it will last...

When i was working at a repair shop part time last Christmas we had a Wolfgang Special come thru and the bridge pick up was dead........ It had worked fine for 5 years for the guy but oneday it just stopped..... I never did find out how they fixed it... most likely they just ordered a new PU but i should ask oneday how they solved that one......

I've had a look over my special's electonics. It pretty simple really, 1 volume, 2 pickups and an extended pickup selector toggle switch.
The trem feels flimsy and a bit cheap because of the loose trem bar. I dunno why, but a loose trem arm reminds me of the cheapy guitars with the $30 floyd copies back in the late 80's. I'll be fitting an original floyd trem arm unit in a couple of weeks (I hate the screw in jobbies), at the moment, it's not on the same level of the Ibanez Edge trem's

I have a Wolfgang neck i have been thinking of making a body for.... Those trems that are on those Wolfgangs are meant for a 16 inch radius i think.... I have a Jackson floyd copy that could work if i can find a nut for the neck.... does anyone stock a wolfgang Floyd nut.... they are a small size compaired to others... the nut itself is thin and is for necks with 1 5/8's width.... not easy to come by and it may take forever to get a nut from Peavey....
Maybe i'll use a better Floyd Rose Original and just radius the top of the frets on the neck.... not sure what to do....
