Would faulty filter caps affect the clean tone?

My amps picks up A LOT of noise and hum at higher gain settings, making it very unplayable. But the clean tone remains clean. Could this be the filter cap's fault?

probably not, if the caps are going they will probably effect everything

What kind of amp, And how old is it?

It's a Laney AOR30 112 combo, about 16 to 20 years old, not really sure. It came to me a year ago with the original tubes so I replaced them all and rebiased it myself. 2 6V6s and 4 12AX7s.

I agree with jeremy.

it's typical for any amp to be noisier at higher gain settings

I would start by checking the preamp tubes. Either tap very lightly on the tubes with a pencil to find one that's microphonic. Alternately, you can pull them one at a time. This will help locate the source of the noise.
