I'm going down to Playa Del Carmine for a week in two days, and I'd love to take my guitar down, but would it get messed up? Last time my family was down there, they said it was so humid the walls were actually wet with condensation. Would this climate warp my neck, or have any really really bad effects??

If you have to ask, leave it at home. Even if it's okay, you'll worry the entire time.

It also depends on whether it's AC'd or not.

Also, bringing a nice axe to Mexico is like asking it to be stolen, IMO.

I'd leave it at home.

Leave it home and let your hand heal. Dude, you're gonna be so busy on the beach, the guitar should be your LAST thought. Besides, if you're looking to impress on the beach, acoustic's the way to go.

leave it at home, maybe bring a cheaper acoustic down with you and im sure you can keep your chops up to par with that,.

Your main concern, while in Cancun, should be mackin' on the hotties. In fact, that should be your main concern ANYWAY.

If there's a chance your guitar will get ruined, I wouldn't bother with it.

I love play del carmin...your an hour from some really cool ruins and a short ferry ride to Cozumel. Have fun and dont wear jewelry while swimming/snorkeling/diving, barracudas like shiny stuff.

Re: Would The Weather/Climate in Cancun Screw Up My Schecter?

LOL I'll take that into account J. We'll be going to the ruins and Cozumel, surprisingly enough. I think a week without my guitar would be good, give me some time to get the old repeated licks and whatnot out of my head.
