Holy crap, this thing is gorgeous. Look at the neck and fretboard :32:

Seems kinda like a high price, but I could be wrong.

It is definitely a nice guitar. I have to say something about PRS. I always see these $3000 PRS's with mediocre flame tops. I figure for that price it should be very consistant. I hardly ever see it, unlike gibson.

That guy who's auction that PRS is on always has kick ass guitars.

Re: WOW, check out this PRS MCCarty

Nice. I love amber PRS's. I think all the cutesy names Ebayers are using as descriptions are funny....Brazilian Fretboards = Brazzy, Soapbars = McSoapies,
Curly tops = brain salad. LOL

Re: WOW, check out this PRS MCCarty

Price is about average for what I've seen the Rosewood necks going for. On that topic, has anyone noticed that Warmoth is now offering solid rosewood necks and bodies...Indian Rosewood, but still....damn. I may just have to order one of those. $295 is the price if memory serves...killer.

+1

I'm usually disappointed by PRS. PRS offers some severely sick and amazing guitars, but also gets way more money for a guitar that just doesn't deserve it. I've played many PRS high end ones with 10 top flame tops and they aren't as great as many make them out to be. Once again PRS is a bastage of brand name = $, not quality.

Boogie street music always posts amazing stuff. I do notice they charge quite a bit more for their guitars than other sellers, but I'm sure the quality and service is all their (which may make it worthwhile for some people).

Re: WOW, check out this PRS MCCarty

Boogie Street definitely has a monopoly on the sweetest guitars on ebay. They're expensive, but only seem to deal with very high quality.

Re: WOW, check out this PRS MCCarty

PRS makes immaculate quality guitars. Own a few for several years, and you'll see it plain as day. After owning and messing with quite a few, I'm thinking that possibly the best PRS, in my opinion of course, would be a Rosewood necked McCarty with a Tonepros adjustable bridge, and matched with a set of Duncans that are perfect for your particular style. One of my very favorite sounding guitars is a teal black McCarty with a tonepros bridge and zebra Custom 5/59. I only wish it was a rosewood neck model. I'm not done dialing it in with Duncans, though. The C-5/59 sounds great, but I'd like to audition a lot more Duncans in it, to really stumble on tonal bliss. The McCarty is the top contender for Les Paul/Strat-like classic status, in my opinion. If you spend as much time dialing that guitar in, like you do a LP, strat, or frankenstrat, you start to see how great a guitar can be. The wood, construction, and overall tone is close to perfect on that model. Even the stock pickups sound great, but Duncans take it to a higher level.

I dissagree. You get what you pay for. PRS' are well made and their quality is very good.

Re: WOW, check out this PRS MCCarty

The heel looks much worse than it actually feels. It is nothing compared to the heel joint of a Les Paul. Too much hype into the "pre mass produced" small heel. I've played enough of them at this point to say that it's really a non-issue.

Re: WOW, check out this PRS MCCarty

As Gearjoneser pointed out, the McCarty is an awesome guitar. I've played the old EG series, Swamp Ash Specials and some Customs, but the McCartys somehow have a better tone and feel to them. I'm sure the biggest thing with those guitars is the pickups. The build quality is very good (better than Gibson IMHO) and the pickups in those guitars really don't do them justice, so maybe that's why I like the McCarty series more; the pickups just seem to sound better.

I don't know...to me, PRS's are like a blond with fake boobs...they just don't do it for me. :laugh2:

I'll take 2 please.

Re: WOW, check out this PRS MCCarty

Looks nice ;)

I'd love to try one of these rosewood necked things.
PRS guitars are well built, and obvioulsy use high quality woods/parts but I've never played one that had the mojo or sound I'd want... especially considering the price.

PRS = Very expensive 'meh' :laugh2:

Just not my thing :D

Re: WOW, check out this PRS MCCarty

AWSOME. Boogiestreet is always a little steep on prices though. At least for what Ive seen.

Re: WOW, check out this PRS MCCarty

I never understood PRS rosewood necks 'til I got this IRW Custom 24. The top's not much to write home about but this guitar is da bomb. Only my Driskill gets more lovin'.

Rosewood neck + Trem = Gooood

Re: WOW, check out this PRS MCCarty

I'll stack my McCarty Braz. Ltd. Edition up against any guitar on the planet. The rosewood neck is freaking unbelievable when you get your paws wrapped around it. The thing is, it's pretty much unfinished. Rosewood being so oily naturally, I guess it seals itself. Adds something to the tone, but on this guitar it's all about feel.

On that ebay ad, he's about 400 buck too high.
