Frankly,

I prefer their MIJ "lawsuite" copies.

These look more like a copies of the ESP EC-1000 than of a Gibson.

They look nice but yeah the ESP is the first thing that comes to mind, I wouldn't doubt that's who is making them for ESP.

That looks like a LS-80 or LS-85. I would say that that is a much better deal than the Corean "Limited Editions". I hope "Limited" means that they will not carry on making them for a long time.

after playing one, then a gibson, I don't really understand why people will pay so much more ofr the Gibsons. The Tokai LPs are amazing value for money.

Exactly what I thought. Too much of an "ESP-Vibe" for me to like them

after playing one, then a gibson, I don't really understand why people will pay so much more ofr the Gibsons. The Tokai LPs are amazing value for money.

Resale value is definitely an argument. The Tokais will probably never appreciate in value, at least not the way Gibsons or Fenders do

It's funny but older Tokai LP's are actually appreciating in value. Some are out of hand pricewise IMO but if someone is willing to pay what the heck.

The Korean ones I have played all played well, some have multi-ply bodies which don't sound so good but they're not bad guitars,
