I am looking to buy pickups, parts, guitars in need of repair and alot of "project" stuff . I work (side gig) with a not for profit foundation working with teens from less fortunate backgrounds (mostly inner city kids ages 10-19) teaching guitar, drums and piano and looking to start up a program for instrument repair and such to possibly teach some of them a trade if they connect passionately with music too.
That being said, I am looking for all sorts of stuff. Should be in working condition though, not broken (there is a difference between needing repair and downright broken) to teach guitar repair, service, etc. Of course if you have anything you would consider donating (receipt for tax purposes availbale) that is just collecting dust, not geting used or that you need to make room that would be totally cool but I am happy to buy some of the unwanted stuff so that I can put it in some sense of order and run this program for this foundation (Project U.S.E.) but my budget is tight so I am really looking for clearance type stuff as long as it works.
This forum has and continues to provide me with incredible knowledge for my own musical needs and interests I thought I would reach out to the membership. From my and a few friends personal collections, we have a small but formidable foundation to start but know we will need more, especially parts. Additionally if you live in NJ/NY/PA. and would like to help, let me know too.
I also wanted to ask; if anyone knows a good resource where I can go to find this kind of stuff on the cheap or free please do reach out and let me know as this is all new territory for me relative to my own passion for playing music, performing and working on guitars, etc.
