Hmmm i think I could try a few pots along the lines of what you suggested.Any ideas on how I should go about a master volume and tone after that?I have a fear it might get complicated....Also am I wrong thinking I might have even more range of sounds if using a hot Prail instead of the normal one?

Adding a master volume and tone is easy. You would insert my diagram in between the pickup and the volume pot. Black is +, green and bare are - (ground), the red and white stat together as shown below, but additionally connect to two of the terminals of the dual gang pot as shown with the pencil lines.

Ah ok,so no fear from parallel grounding and resistance then.Should I go linear or log in this case?

Linear taper for the dual gang pot, audio/log taper for the tone and volume.
