Yikes, I'm GASsing for a Fender, a Vox, and a Marshall

Re: Yikes, I'm GASsing for a Fender, a Vox, and a Marshall

Orange or Blackstar would be better options for a Marshall style tone. Tiny Terror is a great amp for the crunchy stuff.

I'd suggest buying a new amp if I were you I've had a couple used amps crap out on me. With a new amp you at least get a warranty when you need service. With used you never know if you got something someone was responsible with and took care of or if it's something someone trashed and mistreated. Paying for parts and labor to fix up a tube amp will negate any savings you had. Maybe I just had bad luck.

The Fender thing becomes very subjective there are so many different blackface and tweed varieties. I don't know of a single amp they have that would really nail all the different Fender personalities. If you go with a Deluxe I'd swap the stock speaker as it has a tendency to be very ice picky imho I'd try an Eminence Cannibas Rex.

I just honestly don't see how this multi amp buying is going to really be much better than your tweaker. The Tweaker is a very nice amp with a lot of tonal options. And unlike having multiple amps you don't need ABY switches or have to break your back moving your setup (if you gig, I don't know). And if you try different varieties of power tubes you can probably get closer to nailing the various fender, marshall, and vox tones. You can try any octal tube 6V6, 6L6, EL34, EL34L, KT77, 6CA7, etc. Different tube types will really change the personality of your amp.

All stock I could dial in every tone I was looking for from any fender, vox, or marshall amp.
