That's true, but he also has all of them scalloped and re-fretted with 6000 fretwire, and I wouldn't be at all surprised if Larry Lashbrook (I believe Larry does all of Yngwie's work) flattens the radius when he scallops the neck and installs the new frets.

You're using it pretty high, any unwanted overtone due to magnet pull?

On the radius, a little higher action is where the tone is at. If you look at side shots of his guitars, the action is up from the top of the frets, and not super low like most shredders go for. Remember he uses .008's and tunes flat! It's very easy to play and I find the vintage radius suits arpeggio shapes well, even fast stuff because you're moving across the board, like playing chords. It fits the hand.
I'd like to try a YJM, but decided to go with an Injector first. I got it wired up yesterday and gonna finish it up tomorrow. Today, it's Sunday and I don't touch my guitar!

I have it as high as i cant get it and no there are no overtones. I would think many people would be underwhelmed by this pickup but you have to remember Yngwie runs thru a cranked up Marshall and an overdrive. I have an Axe-FX and they sound sweet thru it.

Now that I've had them for awhile, I think there's quite a bit of difference from the DiMarzios. Much like his recent DiMarzio setup the Duncan neck/middle are the same pup and the bridge is a different wind. Compared to the DiMarzio models, the Fury bridge model is voiced somewhat differently than the neck model; I felt that the YJM and HS-3, while different, still had a lot in common output/tone wise (the YJM brighter to my ears by a bit). The Duncans sound thicker through my amps than the YJM/HS-3's but still sound like a strat. The biggest difference to me is that positons 2 and 4 sound natural on the SD's; I think the DiMarzio's sound is really lifeless in the 2 and 4 positions.
