You can have any guitar you want

Re: You can have any guitar you want

I would want Hendrix's 1969 Olympic White Strat, EVH's Original Frankie, Slash's AFD guitar, Angus Young's first SG, A 1959 Burst of any kind, a '54 Strat once owned by Buddy Holly, a Fender Tweed amp, a 1964 Marshall JTM-45/100 with two basketweave cabs, a Fender Bassman 5F6-A circuit, A Fender Bandmaster, Leslie rotary speaker model 147, and a combo preamp for said Leslie, and a cheap Hammond B3 with no bass pedals. Ritchie Blackmore's Sunburst Strat, Yngwie Malmsteen's #1 '68 Maplecap strat, EVH's headless guitar, Floyd Rose Discovery, Fender Broadcaster, Fender Esquires of varying eras, Strats from various eras and colors, A Gibson Flying V, an Explorer, Kirk Hammett's ESP water filled guitar, Billie Joe of Green Day's Original Blue Strat, His Juniors as well, Gibson GA-5 amp, 1960's Moog Modular synth, Oberheim OB-Xa as used by Van Halen, 80's shredder Ibanez, Ritchie Sambora's Floyded 1960's Strat, Epiphone guitars from the 30's and 40's, Gibson L5, Gibson ES-345 TDC With Bigsby, in cherry red. Dimebag Darrell's Dean From Hell, Hendrix's 12 string acoustic, Malcolm Young's Gretsches, Duane Eddy's 6120 Gretsch, Chet Atkins's 6120, Eddie Cochran's 6120 and many others I cant even list.. oh, and a bloody Squier Hello Kitty Strat with an EMG 81 in the bridge and a shredder neck on it's body, modded with a Floyd Rose. A Commodore SID chip embedded guitar with various modes from the SID, with a built in drum machine. An Ensoniq ESQ-1 synth.

I think the question was you can have any guitar you want, but not necessarily all the guitars you want. :9:

Re: You can have any guitar you want

I'm planning on getting a Fender Deluxe Roadhouse in Vintage White.

But if I could have any guitar, it'd be this Caparison TAT Special 1capairson_tat_special_cl14_trans_black_cherry_4500-5600$.jpg

Runs for about 4500 or so. Hoping to one day, get my hands on it.

Re: You can have any guitar you want

Not into the celeb-owned guitar thing. With the Parker Custom Shop effectively out of business, I'd probably go with a "Made To Measure" Strandberg 6 string.

Re: You can have any guitar you want

I already have more than I want.

This man is obviously very sick, apparently someone cured his G.A.S. :D

We, as members of the Seymour Duncan User Support Group should all band together to help his affliction and bring him back into the fold.

That said, the guitar I want currently only exists in my head and in the soul of a pile of tonewood that has been lying around here untouched for way too long... here are the specs:

7 strings
26.5-27" multiscale
Cherry neck with Purple heart and Padouk stringers through doussie Body with an ebony fretboard
Crossgrain zebrano top and headstock veneer
Bloodwood inlays and red LED side dots
Neck and headstock bound in Red/Black/Red
Top and headstock dyed in crimson and blackbursted
Body shape will remain undisclosed at this time
7 string Kahler vibrato with aluminum frame, steel cam and rollers
Sperzel locking tuners w/GraphTech nut
Duncan Nazgul and Sentient pickup set with EMG PA-2 booster.
Black chrome hardware
1 volume, 1 tone, 5 way megaswitch, push/push tone pot for phase inversion.

Just gotta find the time to build it....

Alternatively, if it has to be a guitar that already exists, either a 1958 explorer or the original Dean from Hell.

Re: You can have any guitar you want

I spent a weeklong workshop with Jared Meeker using this guitar. That was kind of GAS inducing.
