Theres less than 10 in my top 10 lol...

-Hideto Matsumoto-He was an awesome guitar player from the 80's-98(the year he died). Im sure my list will be the only one he's on because hes japanese but oh well. He was a shredder with a band called X-Japan in the 80's and then went solo in the 90's with a techno-metal sound. Very cool. You should look him up.
-Kaoru Nikura-Another japanese guy. In a band called Dir En Grey...bonecrushing metal tones and crystal clear cleans all rolled into one guy. Very creative musician.
-Tommy Bolin-My favorite Jazz/blues guy. He played for Deep Purple after Blackmoore left in the 70's. Great slide player and completely self taught.

These are the only guitar players that weren't phases for me so that's how I put people on my list...

and along with the rest, he's got a distinctive style that you can pick out of a thousand others. he's got that feel that makes everything sound like ben. and that is a very high feat to posess
