Re: your collection??

Ooo. How do you like the Blackouts? Did you have EMGs in there before?

I'll take some pics of mine. I have six that cover decent ground.

No, it had the Duncan Designed JB/Jazz before. So for me, it's a lot tighter and more aggressive. ;) I haven't played an 81/85 equipped axe in years to give an adequate comparison.

Re: your collection??

Dont have a picture right now but:

Squier Stratocaster from 1985. Gold OFR and gold hardware. Single hum, Duncan JB.

Fender Classic Player 60 Strat, 2007, DiMarzio Area 58 in neck, DiMarzio FS-1 in the bridge and a generic Fender Alnico 5 single in the middle.

Gibson Les Paul Standard, 2008, brass nut, Duncan Custom in bridge and Duncan Jazz in neck.

Peavey Wolfgang SE, 2001, Duncan Alnico II Pros, Schaller Floyd Rose.

Fernandes Vandenberg 1, 1987, stock floyd and pickups, are gonna be changed for DiMarzio or Duncans and a Gotoh Floyd.

Kramer Nightswan, 1988, in the classic Lightning bolt paint job. Duncan Fullshred bridge, Schaller Golden 50s in middle, OFR.

Charvel Model 3, 1986-87, under construction.

Charvel 375 Deluxe, getting refinished in puzzle-paintjob. DiMarzio PAF in bridge and OFR.

All in all, 8 great guitars that I love :)

Re: your collection??

I hate you so much for that. That sir, is one beautifull instrument.

Thank you sir!

Since that pic, I've replaced the Badass with the original stock "bent piece of metal" bridge.

It's kind of cool having a "player" that's been through the wringer. I think the bass used to be Fiesta Red, but it was refinished very poorly back on New Year's Day 1972 (you can still see the brush strokes in the lacquer). It's kind of cool, just because you see a lot of walnut colored instruments from that time period- and the owner of the bass back then wanted to be in on it. I always thought that was one of the coolest things about owning old guitars, thinking of all the people that have played that instrument, and what they played, where they played... what their whole scene was. It's history you can play.

Re: your collection??

There are some amazing collections here! Mine Lefty collection is as follows.

Washburn Festival Series Acoustic - Black
Gibson J200-12 String Acoustic - Light Maple
Legend by Wolf Doubleneck 'SG' style with Custom wound Pickups by Wizzard
MIJ Strat - Black with EMG 'Gilmour setup' Black
MIJ Strat - Same as above
Custom Thinline Tele - Blue Ash with JD Bridge and Alnico II Pro Neck
Custom Tele - Blue Basswood with QP-Tapped Bridge and Neck

and the Current most played with...

A Starfire Electric Lap steel

I'm having so much fun learning to play this at the moment.

Absolutely - that's part of the reason why I only buy second hand guitars; they carry parts of people's lives with them and they already have music inside them, if that makes any sense.

Re: your collection??

I thank Joe Perry, Brad Whitford, and most of all Rick Nielsen of Cheap Trick for instilling my guitar amassing abilities. I'm up to 55 including 50 guitars, 4 Basses, and one old acoustic. Life IS Good!

My current favorite a 2001 Hamer Standard Custom....

my first rock concert was Def Leppard and Tesla a few years ago.. I got lucky cuz after the show I got to meet Phil and Viv, get pictures with them and have them sign some autographs.

I remember the first metal video I ever saw was Rainbow In The Dark..

I'd like to get me a Nightswan someday, it will go with my Nightswan advertisement.

Yeah, I totally agree! A used guitar will always have history other people in the past have left behind and now it will have your history as well.
