On a Les Paul:
Lemonburst
then Honeyburst
then washed/faded Cherry Sunburst

I used to dislike Strats with sunbursts, but now I really like both 2-tone and 3-tone. 3-tone especially with tort guard.

3-tone sunburst with tortoise pickguard is just awesome. Id say that to my favorite, though 2-tone "tobacco" burst is also really good looking.

I really don't like those flamed, quilt etc... stuff. For looks, it has to be either regular wood, or solid color.

My Epi LP Custom used to be a Vintage Sunburst, but I sanded off all the tint, until only an amber flame remained.

This is the only burst I own right now. I don’t think sanding would do it any favours.

I have the Tele companion to that, and I love it. But, I do like how the early 80s gibson silvebursts look when they've started to turn greenish

In the sunlight it has a bit more red showing

Warmoth has some really cool green bursts. PRS has some as well. I would (honestly) love a guitar that had the same color shift as an avocado. Remember kids, you need plenty of greens in your diet.

My Brian Moore C-55PM was once a beautiful blueburst, but turned a milky purple over the years due to dye fade (I guess). Still a great guitar, but 10 years shouldn't turn the finish another color.

Yeah, it is unique..and a really cool 3-voice instrument. But I am thinking their finish people tried to save some money on the dye they used.

I'm not very big on silver-burst guitars but I'm pretty keen on tobacco-burst Les Paul guitars.

I tend to like an aged/faded cherry or lemon burst or a 2-tone burst like on a 50's strat.

I've had this one design for year and a half waiting on a shelf until I have time to start the build. It looks just like that, but with HH pickguard

HATE Silverbursts. They look cheap.

I love the burst on my R7, same thing they used on the Page #2 burst.
