      PISTON KNOBS!!

      Better detail of the inlays.

The guitar has a Duncan Firebird mini hum & a Hotrail. The inlays were done by Cris Mirabella & Mike (Xssive) built the guitar. great Axe! The Piston nobs are way cool but I was having issues with them slipping out of my hand so I added some "O" rings to them & they look like rings on a real piston!
I hate telecasters, and even I have to admit that this is pure awesome.

        Amazing.

I confess I've mostly subscribed to the stereotypical and narrow-minded view of Tele=country. But some of the Tele shapes in this thread along with some things I've heard recently cause me to reconsider.

That's more of a Les Paul than a Telecaster. I don't know how that ever made it to this thread.

this thread is a joke. lets just call it "show your Teles". Any decent vintage tele would wipe out 96% of these guitars .
There are very very some nice ones here, but most others are clearly not even close to any "ultimate" Tele and though I appreciate most of them, they are profoundly average .
C'mon..'Reactors' ,Raspberry MIK Schecters, and run of the mill Mexican and American Stds. in an ultimate Tele contest? Pffffttt..
The 'refin' thread is way more interesting.

You've really turned into a total dick on here since they got rid of the Craigslist hookers.

LMAO!!! They got rid of the Hookers?? Man, all viagra'd up and no place to go....

Well, Id post my Vintage modded Squier, but Im sure it would be scoffed at..
Believe me when I say that some of the most amazing music in history was made on equipment that's not as good as what you own right now.

I don't claim to be as wise as you or most guys..and you know poor old MM is something of a social retard, so please help me to understand this, cause Im seriously bewildered. How is a Chinese Squire in the running 4 "the ultimate Tele"?
Is there something I'm not aware of that makes posting a Korean Tele or a ordinary Mexican Tele not absurd? No, Im serious, I dont understand at all. I mean, fr example, if you post your Pengun in the semi Hollow category, would you seriously respect someone who posted an Epi Dot??
All I'm saying is I do not understand the submissions, and I mantain that its become basically a "show your Tele" thread. I'm okay with that, as long as we know where we stand.
I get that the Arabian blue tele could be the winner, casue it has history here, and thus a lot of love and mjo..even though I personally don't see anything totally great about it, but I do understand how it could win, but a MIM off the shelf Tele..I mean, help me here.
Surely someone has an old vintage Tele in decent shape; Game over.

( by the way, I have two teles I love and that I consdier as nice as most, but I wonrt post them here, becasue I realize in no way are they the "ultimate" .What a joke you boneheads are!)

I can see MM's point. Now STFU. I mean really, the best Tele is at best, a Tele. It's what you play before you invent the first REAL electric guitar like a Strat or an LP.

But the submissions will be closed soon and it will soon be time to vote. Let's see what we have here.

I will humbly display my tele. I probably wont make it past the prelims, but I am really proud to own this guitar. Saved my hard earned money for a year to get this. And I am completely in love with it!!! Crook Tele with blue sparkle paisley paint. Calaham hardware, vintage tuners, APC Adder neck pickup, Florence Voodoo bridge pickup, Ash body, and maple neck with painted matching headstock!

There are about half a dozen people here at work that I'll be using that line on today. You don't mind do you?

I was going to post a pic of my Epi Dot when the ultimate semi-hollow thread comes about. Having replaced nearly every part of it I think it's a great guitar. Telecasters are a pretty generic bolt-on style . . . I think seeing the many different takes on them is much more interesting than seeing 30 identical fenders.
