That's why I said OEM. OEM is not in store.
If I buy a SD Jazz from my music store and they ordered it from SD it’s just as OEM as the one I would order directly from SD. I don’t think they sprinkle magic pixie dust on the one ordered directly from them. We’re talking about a production 59 model.
OEM = Original Equipment Manufacturer

Hey brothers and sisters!
I recently bought what I thought were a set of Seymour Duncan Antiquities V1. Now I'm not sure. I think I have read somewherw that the first version was different from the current ones.
They measure:
Neck 6.76
Middle 6.67
Bridge 6.81
Does anyone know anything about this? Thanks in advance.

Those looks like Duncan covers on some other manufacturers grey bottom strat pickups. The covers don't even look like legit Duncan covers, in that the bridge logo is smeared, like it was printed poorly. The first Duncan Antiquities strat pickups were the Texas Hot ones with black bottoms (I have those.). The grey bottom would have been the Antiquity II Surfer version, but those are missing the signature stickers and serial number (if they ever had them.). Grey bottoms with those DCR readings don't match Duncans I'm aware of.Last edited by beaubrummels; 05-04-2024, 05:28 PM.

Is this a legit TB-5. Few things look off to me, flat black coil, dull screws and pole pieces, the pict of the back side has a holographic Seymour Duncan sticker, no engraving om the back plate either. Oh and its $59 vs $99 for a new TB-5 four conductor
Im not looking to buy it, trying to help someone else out.1994 Ibanez IC500 Iceman reissue

The baseplate is not a Trembucker baseplate. TB baseplates have 3 holes and rounded corners.
I haven't seen a 2021 Duncan baseplate to know if they've moved to a sticker logo. The printed logo on the bobbins looks small, like the rail-style, to me.Last edited by beaubrummels; 05-05-2024, 08:20 PM.

Hello everyone ! Pardon my english, I'm a french guy.
I'm about to sell a SH-2 humbucker.
The guy who wants to buy it asks me if my pickup is a copy or not, 'cause Aliexpress does copies.
I have a number serie on the box: 11102-01-B.
Under the pickup, it's written "Seymour Duncan Made In America", and the following number on a sticker:
"I1IS1 20161010
SH-2N Neck".
I know we can find the origin of a Fender guitar with specific search engine, but nothing for Seymour Duncan's pickup.
Can you help me please ?
Thank you everyone !

During the pandemic, there were supply chain shortages that affected the availability of the standard baseplates, so SD had to source baseplates from another manufacturer. Because these alternative baseplates didn't have the typical "Seymour Duncan" stamping on them, SD used the holographic decals instead.
You will find that the spacing is still "trem" spaced like you would expect from a TB-5. Someday, this version will probably be a collector's item, LOL!
