I can't explain it. The White Penguin looks "right". The gold and vanilla LPC looks "wrong". That's pretty much it.

To be honest, the LPC is one of the few Gibsons I could see myself owning ... it's just that weirdo version with the cream accents and gold knobs that looks icky to me. The normal white LPC with black guard, rings, and knobs is super cool. I don't know why.

Definitely getting Agile G.A.S., thanks to you all. Wish I could find one to play around here. I really like the Harm with P90's, in white and in sunburst. Kind of like my old Epi Wildkat, which I regret selling.

The other one calling my name is the neck through LP style (the one where you cannot see the neck plies from the front).

Who makes them? Samick, Unsung, Peerless?

That does look nice. Well done. As far as it being 'cheaper than the clothes you have on'...are you wearing stuff you cut the lawn in, or are you dressed up like a pimp?

What about an SG Custom in alpine white with a maestro? Whew! Those are gorgeous.

edit: Not only that, the AL-3200 is a 1 piece mahogany neck-through, and it sells for less than the pimped out 3100!
