Re: American or British amp tone?
British
British
...everytime I heard some chorus series from Roland I was at awe, blasphemy?
Well, I am such a tube-nazi when it comes to amps and analog-nazi when come to pedals I almost hate myself for liking the clean Rolands. Not blasphemy at all. The Roland Jazz Chorus is highly respected, even given that it's a solid-state amp. I remember it as the first amp that had an awe-inspiring clean tone to me.

Anyone who questions EL-34 cleans have never heard handwound A5 singles through a Matchless Chieftain, plexi, or Bogner clean channel. It's a thing of beauty.
