amp stand or non-slip surface

lol, i placed my 112 cab on a stool against the corner wall during practice few days ago -- rocked hard -- and the cab fell down from the vibrations. So one should put it on an amp stand or something with a non-slippery surface. good thing it didn't fall on my amp head below on the ground.

that is all i want to share.

Re: amp stand or non-slip surface

I have a Musician's Gear I bought off of Musician's Friend 5 years ago that is still in good shape. Most Musician's Gear stuff is crap but my amp stand and my keyboard stand seem to be good quality.

Re: amp stand or non-slip surface

You could put some nonslip tape or something on the stool, if you're not using it for sitting anymore.

Re: amp stand or non-slip surface

Don' t put it on a stool..the center of gravity is too high. Just look for an amp stand...even used ones are not very expensive, and will serve you well in your gigging life.

Re: amp stand or non-slip surface

Amp stand all the way. They're not much money and they get your amp off the floor so you don't get the mud. I'd be a little afraid of anything larger than an 8" practice amp on top of a stool! [emoji12]

Re: amp stand or non-slip surface

I use that rubbery drawer liner stuff that they sell on rolls at Walmart next to the silverware and similar kitchen stuff. It works great for a non-slip surface and can serve as something to keep stuff from getting scuffed.
