Any reccomendations for neck pickup to match an el diablo?

[Gibson 1964]

I currently have an l500r in the neck slot. It is higher-fi and I don't like the match. I have had an l90 in there before, and it was not nice in this guitar.

I would prefer rails for aesthetics, but it is a preference. I also debated a screaming demon in there, and not because of the name, which I just noticed typing it out.

Guitar is hollow mahogany tele, lacewood top, wenge/wenge neck. I think El Diablo is staying put.

You could move the El Diablo to the neck and put a Slug in the bridge.

The Distortion neck is really versatile. That's my suggestion/2 cents.

Demon is a great suggestion, the stag mag pairs very nice with High Output bridge buckers too....

The Demon and DDn are both good suggestions, another option could be calling the Custom Shop and having them wind you a calibrated neck model of the El Diablo. You'll have to specify which version of the El Diablo though, as they are two very different beasts from what I understand.

Demon is the best match I found as far as Duncans. I like that pickup matched with various Dimarzios. Liquifire was a good one.

That's why I suggested moving the El D to the neck and putting the Slug in the bridge. Scott Ian crossed with Tommi Iommi, on steroids.

Well I wanted some variation. I have a slug equipped tele already. I like it, but this guitar is darker and I am liking el diablo in the bridge.
