Anyone ever played a Vox AD-series cabinet?!

Hi guys!

Well, i'm giving up the idea of builiding my own 2x12" cab, and i'm sending my Celestion Century's back to the shop.... because i saw a Vox AD212 cab for sale!

It has all the specs i want, and a moderately cheap price, so i'm wondering if anyone have opinions on them? As far as i remember, a guy here on the forum got one, and he loved it.... but i cant find the thread

By the way, are the "Celestion neo-dog" speakers any good? As far as i
know, they are modified Century's, rigth?

Yeah, stupid me couldn't find the threads... :smack: ... anyway, if you don't mind, could you answer these questions for me?

1. Is it efficient\loud? I need a cab that has a high db\w\1m sensitivity, since my amp isn't the biggest

2. Did you encounter any problems with the closed back design? How do the cab sound compared to a open-back cab?

3. How "linear" is the tone of the cab? Does it sound very different at high\low levels?

I own the Vox AD120 VTX and have been blown away with the sound and performance of this amp, which is equipped with the Neo Dog speakers! I have nothing but positive things to say about this amp! For the money, I am sure not too many amps could stand up to this amp! Although, they do not make this model anymore, bummer and I am not sure about the current VOX amps and their performance?. I am positive you would not be disappointed with the AD 2X12 extension cab! Closed back and vintage 30 celestions(Neo Dog) specially made for VOX!! Download the manual for the Vox AD120 VTX, it will provide some info on the extension cab.. Good stuff if you considering the purchase...
