Best Tele Noiseless Pickup

I just bought a Custom Classic Tele and while the pickups sound good the hum is really annoying. What is the best noiseless Duncan with authentic tele tone? I am hoping to stay with a mass produced pickup and not have to mortgage the house on a boutique builder. The tones I am looking for are typical 70's like Aerosmith and Neil Geraldo, I know both of those bands used strats as well as teles but you get the general idea. Thanks in advance for your replys.

the vintage stack bridge is a great pup!! sounds like a tele but with no hum. i havent used an actual tele neck pup in so long i hesitate to give advice. if it were me, id go for a classic stack + for strat in the neck.

best of both worlds, killer strat neck tone and a great tele bridge tone with a very cool mixed tone

Will a strat pickup fit in the neck slot of a tele without routing?

yes but the pic guard will need to be modded, or better yet just get a new pickguard so you can sell the guitar stock if you end up getting it

Re: Best Tele Noiseless Pickup

I've got the Vintage Stack set in a Schecter Tele with a DPDT mircoswitch. With the switch down it's fully noiseless ... up it's single coil with the lower coils disabled. The "noise" setting is a bit louder with the noise you normally get with a tele pickup set ... somewhat noiseless on "both pickup" setting. So ther are 6 different pickup sounds ... 4 of them pretty quiet. In other words, the noiseless setting is quiet but slightly more reserved.

I like 'em. :)
