Re: Brand NEW Custom Heritage LP arrives after Long wait!! *PICS*
Thanks a lot guys!
This thing has been on rivalry with my Telecaster. I play them about 50/50 of the time. I'm gonna put my strat through a makeover with a new nut, a fretdress and a pro setup.

If they made a true P90 guitar, I'd already own it. No soapbar guitars from Heritage for some reason. Not sure why.
I think you can custom order pretty much anything you want from Jay. You can even get something like P-90 - Hum - P-90. They also offer all kinds of custom switching options.

Oh yeah, I sold my Heritage 535 tonight. There's this little voice in my head telling me to buy a 56 Reissue Les Paul goldtop. I did an A/B/C comparison of my three most expensive guitars. A - the 58RI Lester was a gift from the wife. Thank goodness it's the best of the three, cuz I could never sell it. B was the PRS McCarty. C was the Heritage. The Heritage has the slimmest neck of the three and it just plain lost. Not even close to the other two.
It's kinda weird comparing a 535 to a PRS with a solid rosewood neck though. As far as I remember yours was a goldtop with a bigsby on it. I'm not a fan of the bigsby to tell you the truth. Did you go with a standard Heritage neck?
My neck is not exactly slim. It's in between the 50s and the 60s. About the same as my modern c-shape strat, just much lower action, 24 3/4, etc... I got it because I play a LOT of thumb chords, and I would still like to be able to play fast on it.
Do you have pictures of your 56RI Lester? I've never seen a lester before.

Looks awesome.. I've always loved the Heritage stuff.
The ONLY thing I would do differently is have the top color-matched a little closer, so one isn't darker than the other. Just my $0.02.
It's kinda weird. Because the flame is not prominent at all, you see it differently from different angles and light. It's actually pretty even. I'm gonna get a crazy zebra top next - just for the wack of it, or an ocean top like scott's McCarty.
