Re: Brand NEW Custom Heritage LP arrives after Long wait!! *PICS*

Frantic and Luke, thanx for the info. Sounds good. :bigthumb:

Any issues with the binding at all? I hope not, but I ask out of curiousity due to the situation I ran across.

Re: Brand NEW Custom Heritage LP arrives after Long wait!! *PICS*

Chjunior,

The binding everywhere looks fine to me. On the headstock there's a little hair-width pencil mark behind the paint, but I mean come on... The guitar is already bashed up from everyday practicing. Belt buckle scratch and dings everywhere on the back. It's nitrocellulose - So I think the paint will be coming off pretty quick.

I'm sorry to read about your experience. It must be disappointing to shell out the big bucks for ugly binding.

Excellent; glad to hear it's all good on your end. I apparently truly am the exception to the rule with regard to the H150 from Jay. I guess someone has to be! I'm tempted to give it another go with the H150 (from another dealer, of course) due the the satisfaction the rest of you are getting!

I'm telling you, CHC,

Since your a Dean fan, you need to go find a EVO Premium.
I truelly feel that will satisfy your LP style yearnings.

This axe should sound awesome with the ants. I have put one set in my Orville by Gibson and they really worth the value. I simply cannot imagine how it could sound terrific in your Heritage.

Frantic, what were the upgrade charges for the eastern maple top and ebony fretboard? What kind of top do they normally use? Did you get a bone nut?

Re: Brand NEW Custom Heritage LP arrives after Long wait!! *PICS*

Hey mule.
The east maple top upgrade is a "2nd level" upgrade I THINK. It ran 200 bucks. There's also a 3rd level upgrade which are all that crazy quilt and flame stuff like on a 5-star PRS. Those are 240 bucks.

The ebony board - I think is part of the stock options - you don't get charged for it. So is the bone nut - i believe.

I think they use a "carved curly maple top" on basic 150 models.
Like on this model: http://heritageguitar.com/models/H150CM.htm

The thing that really sold me on this is I believe all Seymour Duncan pickups are like 60 bucks extra. So you can get Antiquities or Seth Lovers for 60 extra (for both...).

Also the binding, sperzel tuners, MOP inlays, tonepros bridge and tailpiece were not expensive to upgrade - I don't know the prices though.
It all came up to 1560.

By the way check out Jay's inventory here . Search it for things you like, then write him an e-mail and ask about the price:
