Well i actually hate the Shell of my Valvetronix.Since i have no warranty anymore and shot the Clestion in it ,i think i am going to buy my own Valvetronix shell.
So here begins where i need your help
It will be 2x 12 ,and plywood.I don't know if i use the amp chasis vertical as it is or horizontal.
I don't know what kind of wood i should use.Wich plywood etc.
It's gonna be an exciting project for me ,and will give me some possiblities to taylor my combo.

2 x Eminence Governor 8 ohms.Closed back design ,Better weight ,better sound ,and different looks.Man i can even create a Tweed Valvetronix.
Tell me what you think guys ,and help me please.
Cheers!

Sounds great. Baltic Birch plywood is what you want. You also need a way to join the wood in a solid/rugged manner. Tweed sounds really cool.

Re: building my own Valvetronix Cabinet

Get two 16 ohm speakers and wire them in parallel or two 4 ohm speakers and wire them in series. That amp wants to see 8 ohms. Also, mount the chasis the way it is in the original one. There is a reason they mounted it that way and don't forget the vents at the top.

I actually own the matching Blue Valvetronix 2x12 AD 212 cab...Do you need exact dimensions or pictures? I'd do that for you! The cab uses birch and it has a plate on the back for mono or stereo use...

Thanx erik!So if i go to do a 2x12 ,better to go with 2x 16 ohm....
I need to draw a good model first i think!
Should it be rear loaded ?
I play mostly hi-gain ,and a crystal clean is not what i need from that amp!So what kind of cloth ,finsish ,wood do you guys recommend.Or should i use a grill like the original design?
