Bypass Switch For Tap Tempo Function

Some effect units have expression pedal inputs to control a parameter on it. BOSS has a pedal (FS-5U) which can be used as tap tempo pedal in expression inputs.

Can any Bypass switch pedal be used in expression pedal inputs for tap tempo function?

depends on the pedal, you will need a non-latching switch for tap-tempo setting. and then some switches like BOSS FS-5U also has a polarity switch, which is required by some devices to be set for open or closed switch by default.
