If you paint 1mm thickness of paint, you've gone waaaaaaaay more than you need. I can't see you needing to do more than a quick sand with tiny tiny grit sandpaper between coats. What you see is what you get. So stop when it looks good.

Yesternight i applied a coat of water based wood undercoat named in Greek "Velatura" : http://www.vitex.gr/en/wood_surfaces_001.php .
Here it is :

I sanded it down, and it is ultra smooth. Also ultra strong after 8 hours. I had to struggle with 220 grit to get dust. Also its thickness it seems OK. Should i go straight with the color?

Next, I'll remove the masking tape, sand it with high grit sandpaper (1000 -> 2500), mask again with masking tape, and apply a second coat.
I forgot to mention the color is "waco fin schwarz 20ml" - acrylic black.
I'll see how it turns out.

After the second coat :

I guess i'll have it dry for about a day and then go for the polishing compound ?

i also bought some gloss varnish :

although some attempts to use it on some scrap surface didn't turn out good.

So, i'll wait for the paint to dry and then go to fine sanding and polishing compound by hand.

thanx! The adhesion looks good. It looks solid. The undercoat/primer seem to have stick to the wood pretty well, same with paint to the undercoat.

good, glad to hear that.
If you only have a tiny bottle of that clearcoat, just plan on using it all. Apply with a big soft-bristle of sponge brush and get it on fast so it gets a chance to level itself before hardening. Really high grit sandpaper with a little water after it full dries until everything is slightly hazy, then wipe clean and dry, then another coat!

I am worried because this clearcoat is solvent-based, and the rest of coats are water-based acrylic. Should i try with a water-based gloss varnish?

I'd suggest going and getting acrylic varnish. hobby/craft paints have decent gloss varnish for cheap.
It should be fine to use solvent-based varnish, but I haven't personally mixed mediums like that. I was always TOLD solvent varnish on an acrylic base is okay, but I just went and bought all acrylic anyway to be sure.

Vallejo's going to have a good gloss. Ceramcoat/Delta/whichever 4oz craft paint company you have there will have a fair gloss as well. It's paint-on and easy cleanup too.

thanx a lot Jon. I figured this my self. Solvent-based i think are not ok for domestic use. I'll go for acrylic based.
In the meantime i saw some white spots here and there and applied a 3rd coat of paint. Then i'll sand.

not so bad!
The clearcoat, if applied, will serve to fill up those paint marks and wood grain. If it bugs you that is.
Nice lustre to it though. You should be happy with your work, but realize there's far more you could do as well. Always keep advancing!
