Celestion alnico gold with v30- should I do it?

I play retro metal (the sword, black sabbath, iron maiden, dio, etc) and want to upgrade from my fender 25r to a tube amp for basement use. So I decided on a 50-watt JCM2000 and a marshall 2x12 with an alnico gold and a vintage 30. Is this a good idea? If not, why not?

is this a specific amp you are looking at? those speakers will sound fine together but its not a pairing i see often

I'm thinking about a DSL 50. I'm looking at Marshall and Orange 212s or possibly a Marshall 412. I haven't totally made up my mind.

I say get the amp and cab first and play them. It won't be until then that you realize what you want added or reduced tonewise.
