Anyone remember those? Anyone have one? This was one (number 7) of the special Pro Mod runs Charvel did. When this model first came out, I didn't care for it much. Wasn't (and still not 100%) crazy about the color and the fact the trem was flush. However, since I've pretty much become a complete Charvel devotee, (and found one really cheap) I like it. Still not my favorite color wise, and I prefer top mount floyds, (flush is NOT a deal breaker tho)but I like it, especially cuz of the yellow inlays and MOSTLY due to the single single coil in the neck.
I wanted to ask if anyone has one, if so, how do you like it? Since it is made in Japan, I'm sure it's well made, but I have a couple of questions. First, almost everywhere I read, I get a different answer on what model the single coil in the neck is. Accurate info is kinda scarce since they are no longer avail. Second, what is the finish like? I assumed when they came out that they were just painted kind of a gray color to look like primer. However, one review I found online by and overseas mag back in the day, says that it it just finished with a paint primer, so you can actually finish it however you want. ?? I find that kind of odd, as this would obviously affect the headstock logo and such. But since I KNOW that EVERYTHING I read online is definately fact, (LOL, I kid) I just wanted to toss this out there.
I think one would look VERY cool with yellow pickups and knob to bring out the inlays.. thoughts?
Any input would be groovy.. thanks
