AHA! So one of these hybrid Custom/59 or Custom/JB pups might also sound pretty good in this guitar, no?

I haven't any experience with these hybrids, but the resonance peak of the 59 and the custom is the same.
The second hybrid again has the two resonance peaks pretty close to each other. I think the SS has quite a distance between the two peaks...not sure though.
