the first one i build was a rebel, reversed X-fusion neck, one pickup and tone knob
this one i want to put in 2 humbuckers, and i want to make the 2 sides of the body look the same
the body is all welded up
so for the finish, first i want to make it whit and call it the white angel
but a usual i always change things (i do not know why lol)
the middle part is now burned metal, it gives a nice blue shiny effect (bluing steel) i always want to try that
i slightly heet up the steel to get that effect and to prevent it from bending in all directions
it was a guess but it turned out extremely well, and the steel is not changed at all (to do that it took 1 hour of heating the metal)
the rest of the body is painted black
now it has a more Hot Rod stylish look
How do you bond the bridge and tailpiece into the guitar?? The typical wood 'knurl bushing' I wouldn't have thought to be that great for metal insertion.
