Dem Ibajnezez

Re: Dem Ibajnezez

Very cool Niels. I forgot to ask you when you modded the Tele bridge, when you took the pick up surround away did it reduce any of the noise or radio reception sometimes associated with them? I love that new look. And the black Ibanez is pretty badass too.

Re: Dem Ibajnezez

Love my Ibies, my first electric was a Roadstar 135 Comet in red.
Yep 540R HH.
Dunno my Tele never picked up any radio, then again I use Wilde Microcoils on that thing, but it stopped the howling at high volume and with lotsa dirt.

Re: Dem Ibajnezez

Last year I picked up a RS315 which was somewhat beaten up. I literally chipped all the finish off the back and sides and sanded most of the finish off the back of the neck like your Tele. I only recently put it back together after trying to level the frets to stop the choking in the higher register and I can't believe how good it feels and plays. Probably more luck than judgement but for a beater it's a killer. I've liked a lot of Ibanez guitars over the years and these weren't really one of them but it great. Now you're black 550 is one that I've always liked but never got around to owning.

Bill Lawrence L90s in a Jewel Blue 540 Radius with the old-school EDGE trem? Major high-five to you, my friend! :friday:

Mmmmbibibibibabababez

I never understand ibby hate their just the best instruments.

Me neither... I've got 2 Ibby guitars and a bass and I love 'em all. I think the hate comes from the traditional "bar" set by fans of the standards (F & G).

Re: Dem Ibajnezez

Love the guitars and I also dig the view of the little courtyard through the windows. Very quaint...I really dig it.

Re: Dem Ibajnezez

Ah, remember that fishy R, must still be good for scales, haw haw :P.

That and people thinking that everything has a Wizard neck (not my fave either, tbh). Then when you get them to play an old Roadstar or something like that they say, 'duuude'.

Re: Dem Ibajnezez

Thanks..
Anyways the RG and I did not get along, great sound but me and 24 frets plus the Wizard neck, I traded it for another R and some money on top from the trader...got myself a good deal out of that....
Plus it is way lighter and I love the Ultra neck and less big Jumbo frets, LoPro Edge is also a big plus, not as wobbly, can live with AANJ as it is a 93.
Kept the org pickups, now it has two L-500's C and L plus a L-280s.
But I am getting alittle tired of black guitars, it is not really a colour I love much.....
Since it felt like an old friend from the first moment I can live with it..... But I will call it Mavro ;)
On the RG I had to fix the Floyd, and it needed a complete setup, plus alittle extra for the nut...
With this one the Floyd was in perfect shape, nut ok as well, adjusted the neckangle alittle more to my likings, I like them with some spraaang and tension.
The neck needs some small fret leveling, no big deal 5min work and it is good to go again.
I love the Radius guitar shape and feel.
Clip will come up later.
