Desert Island Guitar

Re: Desert Island Guitar

Hey Briguy, why do you have the Triple Shot mounted upside down on the neck pup?

Because the curve of the top had it sitting cockeyed when I had it mounted right-side up. They're also backwards from each other as well... the neck TS is on the bridge pup and vice versa. This combination was the only way I could get them to sit straight.

I'm thinking the Ibanez top (or at least the AS83) has a different curvature than normal (whatever THAT is).

Everybody knows that on an island you only need a lapsteel for those hawaiian clichés...

Still, I'd just pick my Taylor 414.

Re: Desert Island Guitar

With a Mesa amp, I'd be happy with any one of my G&L Legacys, S-500, Legacy Special or Comanche.

No amp? Well, then it would be a Martin dread, probably my HD-28V.

Give me a good Lester provided this island has outlets, amps, & maybe some effects built into its palm trees...

Otherwise I'd take my "Baptized by 1000 camp fires & even more beer" Martin D-28. It hasn't completely biodegraded in my hands yet so I think it would hold up in the tropics? If it doesn't, then I'm sure I could fashion a fire bow & a means of fishing out of the remaining parts. LOL!!!
