Re: Dunlop/MXR pedals
I use and MXR Phase 90, Micro amp, and I just got an EVH phase 90.
I have to say that at first when I played the EVH, in the script mode I was wondering if it was working right.
Anyway after actually comparing them side by side, I found that what I originally thougt was true after hearing about the EVH model being less in your face.
My orange phase 90, has a really nice effect and I love it better than all the other phaser out there, but at times, especially on stage, it got to be a little obnoxious at certain points in the phase cycle.
THe Evh seems to have the same sound, but it seems tonedd down a bit and the effect itself is not quite as loud.
I also think personally that it sounds a LITTLE better in the block mode than that original.
I like the way the MXR pedals are built and I would use all MXR pedals if they made everhting I wanted that was affordable.
I want one of their Flangers ,but can't afford one and for some dumb reason , they don't make them anymore. Plus I think their delays are a vintage pedal also.
That being said , I have always used BOSS before I got the 2 MXR and I always liked thier sound and never had a problem with them.
I curently have a Chourus Ensomble that I love and a Digital Delay, I hate the BF - flanger I have and I also have a GE -7.
The only other pedal I have for obvious reasons

, Is an Ibanez tube screamer.
