Epiphone Explorer wiring

Im looking at this diagram https://docs.google.com/gview?embed...om/wp-content/uploads/2016/05/2H_3G_2V_1T.pdf . 2 humbuckers 2 vol push/pull 1 tone, what is confusing me is there is no instruction for wiring the push/pull part of the pot's. Wiring p/p pot's is new to me and have not had much success with them in the past. The guitar has a set of Seymour Duncan "Slash Signature" pups. Should I go for push pull phase switching? or stick with standard pot's and not install push pull at all?

That diagram doesn't have a push-pull pot, it's just two humbuckers with two volumes and one tone. I wired my Explorer using this diagram; the bridge pickup splits to the slug coil and the neck splits to the screw coil so you'll get hum-cancelling with both split in the middle position.

We could certainly help if you want a push/pull, but first decide what you want it to do. Phase? Coil cut? Personally I think a coil cut is more useful than a phase switch, but it is really up to you.

Can't split Slash buckers, they're braided one-wires not 3/4/5

Thanks to everyone, Sorry for the slow come back our internet was down for several days, I decided to stick with the standard wiring, new pots, and changed the .22uf caps to .47. Sounds great. I forgot to mention this explorer is wired with a emg afterburner as a master vol, and not replacing any of the vol or tone pots. Wish you could hear this guitar it is truly awesome! Better then a gibby!

Yup. I've always thought 4-wire Slash would be cool, but I guess they'd have to be special order.
Probably not full Custom Shop, just "shop floor" custom.

Personally I think a coil cut is more useful than a phase switch, but it is really up to you.

Have you tried spin-a-split on a neck humbucker? Much more versatile than coil split, and you can still dial it down to one coil.
