ESP and LTD...

Is LTD an American branch of ESP? And what does LTD stand for too? I know ESP stand for Electronic Sound Products.

LTD is ESP's lower-end division.

LTD is to ESP what Epiphone is to Gibson.

They are not bad guitars.

yep. there's actually some higher priced LTD guitars out there that are pretty nice too though, like the ec-1000 and similarly featured guitars.

There's actually one for sale in the trading post that looks pretty sweet for the money.

both brands offer some things their more-expensive counterparts don't...for example there's no Gibson equivalent of the Epiphone Les Paul Ultra II which has some really awesome pro features for a $750 guitar...
