I read somewhere that flame in maple is actually a disease in the wood. Can you beleive that? :burnout:

wow the flame in that first maple neck is amazing too...put that neck on the second body and it would make one amazing guitar IMO. the top on the second one is killer!! as mentioned spalted maple is the diseased wood...not flame.

One piece tops are soooo much nicer than bookmatched, any kind of top.

(except maybe flamed, ironically.)

Unlike you I prefer Flame Maple, but either way, that is a beautiful guitar.
Awesome flame, and nice pick-ups... could be SD, but gotta mix it up sometimes...
