Man, I bet I've had this little chord progression in my head probably since around 1998 or so. I was in a band back then, and I still did nothing with it. I guess because I was playing bass. Anyways, it's always been in my head, I've just never done anything with it.
Well, as usual, I started drinking some whisky tonight, got bored, pulled out the acoustic, and decided to record. Now mind you, I probably haven't even played the chord progression in years. Well, at least since I had my acoustic out last, and that's probably been a couple of years or so.
As stated, I've had the main thing in my mind for years, but once I recorded it, the whisky started hitting me, and it got my creative juices flowing. Booze doesn't make me a better player, but it does help me expand my mind while recording. That's how I came up with the other little lead fill thingies, or whatever you want to call them.
I think I did it all in about 30 minutes or so. I didn't try to over produce it or anything. I stuck a chord in my Taylor 314ce (with it's old ass strings), plugged it directly into my Roland VS-1880, threw a bit of reverb on it, hit record, and said fukk it!! Anyways, I hope you dig it.
